S= Selection coefficient

Delta P= change in allele frequency

P= frequency of allele

q= frequency of 1-p

    ΔP is the change in allele frequency

    S is the selective coefficient or in other terms the way an allele is measured to show how advantages or disadvantages it is to reproduction.

    p is the frequency of the allele

    q is 1-p

    Putting p and q together shows you genetic variation.

    I do not see much difference in our definitions.
